Lady Falcs Struggle on V-Day

The Van Horn Lady Falcons basketball team mounted an impressive fourth quarter comeback, but ultimately fell short to Raytown,  31-44.  Early turnover and free throw struggles caused the Lady Falcs to fall behind by 16 in the first half.  Karli Schnakenberg led the Falcons in their fourth quarter comeback with 14 points. Falcs Make Rude Dates for Valentine’s Day Matchup

Van Horn’s Men’s basketball team eased out to big lead and never looked back in their Valentine’s Day victory over Alta Vista, 89-33. The Falcons led 48-17 at halftime due to their excellent transition offense and solid defense. The Falcs were led by Tyler Weeks’ (SR) 14 points. BY PERRY GREEN

Three Patriots Sign to Play at the Next Level

Three Truman Patriot athletes took part in National Signing Day.  Malik Robinson will continue his football career at Missouri Valley.  Beth Presler is taking her talents to Graceland to play volleyball.  And, Kali Chrisman will spend the next four years on the pitch for Missouri Valley’s soccer team.
