Bears Have Strong Showing at Suburban White Conference Meet

The William Chrisman boys’ track team had several strong individual performances at the Suburban White Conference Varsity Meet on Thursday, May 8, at Belton.

Senior Dalvin Wilkerson led the way for the Bears, taking first in both the 100m and the 200m. He was also a member of both the 4x100m relay (Bret Wolf, D’Vontae Brown, DeVante Wilkerson, Dalvin Wilkerson) and the 4x200m  relay (Dalvin Wilkerson, Wolf, RaSean Ellis, Deontay Lapsley) that each finished first as well.

Junior Tim Paxton finished third in the 400m and senior Bret Wolf took fourth in the high jump.

The 4x400m relay of Malic Horn, Chris Anderson, Michael Scherer, and Paxton was fourth.

Senior DeVante Wilkerson was fifth in the 100m.

Chrisman’s next meet is Districts on Saturday, May 17 at Chrisman.

Pole Vault – Tim Paxton (T-8th)

400m – Malic Horn (11th)

200m – Deontay Lapsley (11th), RaSean Ellis (17th)

Shot put – Caleb Harrison (13th), David Hampton (15th)

Discus – RaSean Ellis (14th), Caleb Harrison (18th)

Long Jump – Michael Scherer (16th)
