The William Chrisman Softball team took home a win at North Kansas City on Tuesday, beating the Hornets 8-2 behind the powerful play of junior Celine Armstrong.
Armstrong gave up only two runs through seven innings and threw only 50 pitches throughout, while giving herself some run support, having another impressive night at the plate.
“Celine was really executing her pitches last night,” said third baseman Sam Atagi. “She really stepped up last night and helped us win.”
The team played well through adversity last night as they fought through injury to get the win.
“We played without key players this week, and also had to put people in different positions but still won, I think that shows something about this team and how well rounded we are,” said centerfielder Bre Poston
Sophomore Pitcher Adrianna Solary is currently sidelined with arm injuries but hopes to return soon as the Bears face Fort Osage in a double header Thursday.
