Van Horn had its first home game of the year at the newly renovated Roper Park. The park has just been redone, new foul poles, new fences have been added, and there are also new bleachers. It was the first home game of the year, and the players were pumped. The new field built confidence in our ability to beat out the competition. Though we may have struggled defensively, we had our first two Home Runs of the season. Despite our minor mental mistakes, we were very aggressive at the plate and had a good game, but sadly lost 12-10 to Heritage. Though we may have lost, players said that the new field was fun and comfortable, they loved the new fence and upgraded features, it was just better overall.
